New Mix from P-Rex - “I’d Rather Be Eating Humans”
Definitely one of our favorite DJs from the 780, P-Rex just dropped a bomb mix on us entitled “I’d Rather Be Eating Humans”. Whatever he’s eating, it’s probably not that great but this mix is definitely fire and is super refreshing to hear if you’ve been hearing straight electro for the past little while! Still electronic, but with tons of urban influences that define P-Rex’s style, hop on this NOW!

There’s always a party in my PANCE and now there can be one in yours too! If you haven’t heard of the Bay’s PANCE PARTY this post is for you so keep reading!
I first heard about Pance Party with the release of their official remix of Felix Cartal’s “Skeleton”, absolutely huge and very grimey:
Since then, these dudes have been played out on the BBC and on Sirius and have even produced official remixes for heavy-hitters like Benny Benassi, Miles Dyson and more! But enough chat, I think their music speaks for itself so go nuts:

Chauffeur - Streets EP [Top Billin’]
Chauffeur is an artist quickly on the rise with a recent signing to one of my favorite labels - Top Billin’ - and his first release on the label, the Streets EP. The description I found in my inbox really does a good job of summing up Chaffeur’s sound:
“This is a 5-track ep, with tracks that range from twisted disco to speaker bruising rave to bass heavy pop. Fresh in a way when people started to talk about this genre called ‘electro bangers’ or whatever they’re called, it’s not your ordinary electro. Dark and grimey like the alleys of major cities, the unexpected lurking around the corner.”
Chauffeur - Lets Go This track’s rather inviting at first and gets pretty wobbly towards the end. Really like the samples used in it and the fact that it remains melodic throughout without getting cheesy at all.
Chauffeur - Streets A very Miami, prom-night’ish track (my descriptions are always on point, I swear). Love it.
Chauffeur - The Things You Do Total melting pot of styles here! Nu-disco with a funky bassline, pop sensibilities and signature electro sounds round out this one.
Chauffeur - To Make Her Smile Pretty different from the rest of the EP, namely because of the lead vocal. Was this inspired by Edmonton’s Shout Out Out Out Out? =) It definitely feels that way. I also have the sneaking suspicion that the vocal samples Little Boots’ “Earthquake” too.
Chauffeur - You Know What To Do Very heavy electro that I’d drop around peak hour! You’ll probably hear me dropping this.
As a bonus, Thom AKA Chauffeur is actually out of Calgary, I swear that place just breeds talent by the boatload! So I’m extra proud making this post, much love to the Canadian talent out there!

While Sasha and John Digweed are both world-class DJs in their own right, ranked 13th and 17th in the world on DJmag’s Top 100 respectively, together they are arguably the world’s most popular (and critically acclaimed) DJ duo. Since getting together in 1994, Sasha and Digweed have taken the dance world by storm with huge releases and global tours. Their mix albums Northern Exposure and Northern Exposure 2, released on the massive Ministry of Sound label, gained them significant notoriety in the mid-to-late 90’s and sparked a series of world-wide tours. Ever since, Sasha and Digweed have continued to mould the sound of progressive house and trance with hugely successful solo and duo careers. If you haven’t heard one of their mixes by now, well here you go (fresh from WMC in Miami, March 2010):
