The worlds of Dubstep and Electro will collide this Friday as Easy Love, Future Roots, All Blown Up and Oh Snap! bring you BORGORE (dubstep) and ACID GIRLS (electro) at New City!!! If you haven’t got a ticket get down to Foosh, Blackbyrd or Occulist (WEM) ASAP as the advanced ticket batch is almost sold out, if you can’t get your hands on advance tickets don’t panic as we are saving a batch for the door but you’d better show up early on Friday (doors 8PM) if you intend to pay at the door because this show WILL SELL OUT!!!
Another killer video from Chant Media of our night with Richard Vission, which we co-hosted with The Internationals! Out of all the DJs we’ve ever brought to Edmonton, Richard Vission’s experience really stood out as he kept the crowd rocking without breaks throughout his whole set, just unreal!

Easy Love began it’s journey one year ago and we could never have imagined the massive support we’ve received from people like you! We want to thank you for rockin’ out with us, show after show - you guys are the reason our parties are the absolute funnest!

Tonight - CHUCKIE (Holland) @ Empire Ballroom
One of, no, THE most sought after DJ in the world has landed in Edmonton. And Easy Love, in association with Urban Metropolis and The Internationals, is proud to have him at Empire Ballroom tonight (Wednesday May 12th). Check the Facebook event here.
Chuckie is at the forefront of the Dutch electronic scene, which is absolutely exploding right now. Chuckie, along with Laidback Luke, Afrojack, Funkerman and many more, have put Holland not only on the map, but at the top of the heap in the DJ world. This is a must-see show, and considering how beautiful the weather in lovely Edmonton is today, you’ve got no excuse not to be there dancing your pants off! Alongside Chuckie will be Urban Metropolis’s Harman B and DJ Kwake; Easy Love’s DJ Tron, Optimixx Prime, and Miyuru Fernando; and The Internationals’ Daphutur, and DJ Zach Downie. That equals one insane line-up!

DJ Tron, Optimixx Prime and Miyuru Fernando are now holding down a hot Friday night residency at Fluid, hosted by The Internationals. And as anyone who was out last Friday will tell you, this collaboration is set to make your Friday nights crazy and bangin’ every week! March 19 will be especially excellent as we’ll have Funkerman, an international superstar laying down some of the hottest house music coming out of the Netherlands, and all you need to pay is $10 cover!

I was very excited today to find that one of my favourite producers, Xinobi, has just released a brand new mixtape! You can download the mp3 free by clicking the Download button in the Soundcloud player below! (Click the downward-pointing arrow on the left side of the player)
Xinobi runs in the vein of Nu-Disco and French House artists such as Fred Falke, Aeroplane, Lifelike, The Twelves, Cut Copy and Alan Braxe. Xinobi tends to keep the energy high by throwing in some heavier electro sounds. If you haven’t heard his big single Day Off, I highly recommend you give it a listen; you can peep the track on his Myspace here and cop it on Beatport here. Xinobi is signed to Work It Baby, a record label owned by famed French House and Progressive producer Kris Menace. If you dig this disco sound, I’d recommend you check out some of the other acts on the label; listen to some tracks on the Work It Baby Myspace here.
AFROJACK - Funky & Fresh
One of the hottest names in electro, tech and house right now is the Netherlands’ AFROJACK. He’s just put out a new single - Pacha On Acid - that is currently blowing my mind. Its funky bassline and the simplistic beat are reminiscent of Angello’s 2006 hit Teasing Mr. Charlie, which nows seems way ahead of it’s time. Keep your eyes on this guy - he’s sure to become one of the world’s top producers in no time (if you don’t already consider him to be - which I definitely do).
