Get Ready for PeaceTreaty!

Tomorrow night, LA’s PeaceTreaty will be playing an exclusive show in Edmonton for Easy Club at The Pawn Shop.  What better way to get into the mood than check out some of PeaceTreaty’s fantastic productions?  Check it:

Here’s the track that got us stoked on PeaceTreaty in the first place, way back when.  Nothing beats that fat synth line!

Here’s PeaceTreaty getting their toes wet in dubstep, or rather jumping straight into it! Simply amazing, expect this track to be out in the near future…

Another huge track, in collaboration with Vancouver’s Kissed With A Noise…and Young Buck? You’ve probably heard this if you’ve come to our shows before:

Download it here.

Coming out on Dim Mak, PeaceTreaty’s first major single “Cal State Anthem” will definitely be one of the biggest tracks next year. Here’s a preview of the Cold Blank remix:

We’ll definitely see YOU tomorrow night at EASY CLUB with PeaceTreaty! Click here for full details!

New Music Tuesday! EPs from Kill The Noise & Sound of Stereo

Today’s a very exciting day for me as two of my most anticipated EPs were finally released!  First up is the long-awaited Roots EP from Kill The Noise (click to purchase), which also marks the first release on DJ Craze’s Slow Roast Records imprint.  The title track “Roots” has been around forever but is finally seeing a proper release, expect to hear this one for years to come, it’s an absolute monster!  I can’t wait to drop this (maybe this Friday?) to see what happens!  For the disco heads, definitely check out “Perfect Combination” which has garnered support from tons of artists including nu-disco aficionados Duck Sauce - always nice to see some variety on an EP.

EDIT: “Roots” just went up for free download on RCRDLBL:

Second up is Sound of Stereo’s Flatland EP (click to purchase), out now on Dim Mak.  I was never a really big Sound of Stereo fan until their last EP, which saw a departure from the typical Gigi Barocco-esque electro they were producing to a style now which focuses more on huge kickdrums and epic drops, laced with simple synth melodies.  The Flatland EP shows even more progression for the duo, as these tracks are definitely more accessible than the last EP but are still just as dirty.  I love it.

VILLAINS [DIM MAK] to Replace DatA + More Shows!

Time to fill everyone in before the long weekend!

So if you haven’t heard yet, two days ago we got the message that DatA’s North American tour has been postponed due to a medical emergency.  In light of this, we wasted no time in organizing a show with Dim Mak’s VILLAINS to replace DatA (same date, same place, same time).  On top of that, we’re pricing this show at $10 for everyone!  So you’re probably wondering, what do I do with my DatA ticket?

If you already bought a DatA ticket:

  • $10 tickets will be accepted at Villains
  • $15 tickets will also be accepted AND you will be refunded the $5 difference in cash, at the door
  • If you would like a full refund for your ticket, get in touch with us through Facebook or send an email to easylovedance@gmail.com with the subject line ‘DATA REFUND’

A bit about VILLAINS, look forward to everything you would expect from both an Easy Love and a Dim Mak show: dirty, dirty electro in a packed house!  Ever since their debut in 2007, Villains have produced banger after banger, with remixes for everyone from DAFT PUNK to N.A.S.A. and even a full-on collaboration with CLASSIXX.  Their latest EP “Victims” on Dim Mak will see a release this month, featuring remixes from DESIGNER DRUGS, 12TH PLANET & FLINCH, and TRUE PSEUDO.  Check out the Facebook event page as well as their MySpace and Facebook group for more!

With that out of the way, let’s take a look at the long weekend!

THURSDAY: OH Snap! VS Easy Love at the Starlite Room
